“Absolutely astonishing”

When I came home to Bolinao to visit, I kept hearing about this place called "Birdland". I thought to myself, "Well, here's another one of those beautiful beach resort that we have in Bolinao". I thought it was just another beach resort. To my surprise, it was more than a resort. It was breathtaking and extraordinary. The route going to this resort may seem to throw people off just because it is hidden from the town proper. However, hidden also means that you have the privacy you need. The resort itself is sitting on top of a cliff that gives a perfect view of the beach, especially during sunset.The rooms are very spacious and modernly designed. The owners keep it clean. (They have toilet papers in the bathroom, which is a huge plus for me), They have little huts in different sites where you can hang out and just chillax. Not to worry, the resort might be on top of the cliff but it has an easy access to a private beach shore. The owner, Joanna, is quite a marvelous cook and her husband Michael is a great host. I went back and forth several times to this resort but the most memorable one for me was during the Jazz fest. I really wish they would promote another show next year because it was one of a kind experience. It's kind of like Lollapalooza but with Jazz. They had different International Jazz performers. I only have outstanding things to say about this place.It is not for everyone. It's recommended for people who have good taste and appreciate nature, privacy, and most of all, class. I just want to commend the owners and say thank you for making my experience one of the most memorable. I hope to be back soon.

I DON’T want to write a review for the BIRDLAND RESORT because if I do you will look at the photos and more than ‘probably’ you will want to stay there. And you’ll want to go on the very weekend that I was planning to go there again! Because Birdland is soooo exclusive and beautiful and otherworldly that I just have to return again … and possibly again! What makes it that way… The ‘hard’ stuff… Comfortable beds. Comfortable linens. Fabulous Filipino home-cooking (totally MSG free). Stuff to do like lazing on a raft on the sea or checking out the beaches in the locale. Everything works… and I mean everything! The ‘soft’ stuff… A surreal setting atop an ancient coral cliff. 400 birdhouses made by Michael the owner scattered across the landscape. An idiosyncratic bamboo trike. A Facebook moment at every turn. Smashing hospitality… Singles-friendly, Couples coupling friendly, Family-friendly. Jazz and Blues friendly, Definitely BIRD-friendly… probably alien friendly too! Oh, just stop reading this review and book! Just please don’t book the weekend I want to return.

I visited Birdland Beach Club on my new years holiday to Phillipines. Bolinao, Pangasinan is a beautiful small city on the west coast of Luzon. Michael and Joanna, who run Birdland Beach Club are awsome and down to earth. The property consists of several cabanas and modern style cottages with kitchens and amenities. The resort is built into coral and is decorated with many birdhouses. Breakfast is the most important meal and Birdland has the best. I ate squid, rice and fruit for breakfast. Birdland is also near the plentiful white sand beaches of Bolinao. Place is very chill. I strongly recommend visiting Birdland Beach Club.

Michael have been very responsive from the first up to the last query we had regarding the place. Either thru direct messaging at this website or thru SMS, they make sure to provide every details we'd ask. The price to stay at this paradise gives you more than what you expect, that chill ambiance together with the very accommodating staff who does an extra mile to make us smile whenever we feel like getting into the Bamboo raft floating in the middle of the sea, those generous serving of meals and the tranquility of place... overall, this place is one of a must visit in Bolinao :)

Michael's place is perfect for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and live a quiet and simple life in some remote area -- this is your place. Staffs are well trained and hospitable and food's just like mom's cooking. Will definitely recommend Michael's place for families or couples who wanted to escape the hectic city life.
